Responding to a Douchebag

I would like to offer a few quick responses to one of the world’s biggest douchebags, J.D. Vance. First, watch this brief clip of Vance:

Vance says the Senate doesn’t have to agree with everything that RFK, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard say, they are only meant to ask if they have the qualifications and the character for the job. Okay. RFK, Jr. is a former heroin addict and drug dealer. Yes, you read that right… a drug dealer. He sold drugs. Illegal drugs like heroin and cocaine. Great character. He is also a certified lunatic and liar. He indulges and pushes insane conspiracy theories. He rails against vaccines and encourages parents not to vaccinate their children against deadly diseases, despite the fact that he had his own children vaccinated. His lies about vaccines have literally caused the deaths of hundreds of children. What great character! And what are his qualifications? None. Trump promised to nominate him if he dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Trump. That’s it. That is his only qualification.

And Tulsi Gabbard? She’s a Russian asset. What else do you need to know?

As for Trump being entitled to “deference” in who he chooses to nominate and that the Senate should just go along… that is utter bullshit. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the president is entitled to deference from the Senate. Rather, it requires the Senate to consent to Trump’s choices, otherwise they don’t get the job. Period. The Senate needs to do its job and exercise its authority independent of the criminal in the White House. That said, we know they won’t.
